All ski goggles certified by the standard EN174 guarantee protection against 100% UV rays. It's the visible light transmission rate or VLT in English which varies according to the category of glass chosen.

These screens only let through 43% to 18% of visible light. With an intermediate tint, they are quite versatile lenses that are suitable when the weather is cloudy.

Which glass tint to choose?

In addition to these different categories, there are also several shades of glass. These make it possible to further improve your perception of the relief and to optimize the surrounding luminosity.

The yellow, the pink and the orange accentuate the reliefs, in particular in the event of fog. However, with yellow, you risk being dazzled if the sun suddenly appears. Pink and orange will be more versatile.

Conversely, gray or brown tints will be used when there is strong light. Gray is neutral, it is the shade that distorts the colors the least. Brown is more restful, more comfortable. When to mirrored lenses , they reduce glare by reflecting the sun's rays.
